Promoting business development through personnel exchange

FK Norway funds staff exchange to promote business development and transfer of competence between companies globally. FK Norway operates in more than 30 countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America facilitating reciprocal exchanges of young professionals between companies. This exchange of personnel contributes to improving communication across cultures, and by having own staff exposed to a new culture through their daily work and life for one year, the companies involved gain invaluable knowledge and understanding of local markets.

The FK exchange program promotes institutional capacity development of the companies involved. Having staff working in each other’s companies deepens relationships between busness partners through increased understanding and trust.

The programs have a long term perspective with 3 to 6 rounds of exchange, where each round lasts 12 or 18 months.

The partnership receives a grant from FK Norway in order to cover costs of a feasibility study and the exchange of personnel.

FK is not a traditional aid institution but a tool for development and understanding both in the north and in the south. FK Norway is a tool for Norwegian development cooperation and is fully financed by the Norwegian National Budget.
