Europe’s largest convention for innovation, Oslo Innovation Week serves as an important meeting place to discuss opportunities and practices for growth and innovation every year. The dates for 2014 OIW were October 13-17th.
More than 50 individual events occurred all over the Norwegian capital during the entire week, attracting investors, leaders, entrepreneurs, creative designers, developers and visionary people in several sectors.
Some of the highlights from 2014 include Europe’s first official MakerCon, which is a conference about sharing of ideas, and an event of live crowdfunding for startups within music and technology. There were two large conferences focusing on design and full days dedicated to startups.
According to Hege Tollerud, Communications Executive for Oslo Innovation Week, the main themes for 2014 were startups, design and technology, and in various areas, including financing, creative industries, EdTech and health.
