Statoil will make a final investment decision concerning the second development phase of Peregrino field, located off the Brazilian coast.
The company’s project manager Emil Volckmar said that the project could start producing oil by late 2019 / early 2020 if everything goes according to what is planned. Today, the first development phase of Peregrino produces 100 kboe / day (thousands of barrels of oil equivalent per day).
