On April 28th, the two countries collaborated in a day event with travel agents and tourism operators. The agenda was started in the morning, with a breakfast & presentation held at MAM (Museum of Modern Art) for Brazilian travel agents. These agents had the opportunity to learn more about the two travel destinations, as well as to be more familiarized with the official tourism offices of both Denmark and Norway.
The session was followed by B2B meetings with tourism operators during the afternoon, and later by a reception held at Windsor Atlântica Hotel.
Visit Norway has now promotional brochures and a version of its webpage in Brazilian Portuguese: www.visitenoruega.com. Global Vision Access is the agency responsible for promoting Norway as a travel destination within the Brazilian market.
The events have been arranged in close cooperation with partners, including First Hotels, DFDS Seaways, Try Norway and Nordic Star. On Tuesday, April 29th, a reception is going to be held in Porto Alegre (RS), and a new breakfast & presentation meeting is going to take place the morning after.
Norway noticed a significant raise in the number of overnights of Brazilians in the latest years, which has made Brazil a new target market. The initial priorities are to establish Norwegian products with the Brazilian tourism operators, increase the awareness of Norway as a travel destination together with travel agents, and expand media coverage.
